Agustin F. Venero, PhD
Augie Venero earned his BS in Chemistry in 1965 and his MS in Chemistry in 1967, both from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. His industrial research career began in 1966 at the Ford Motor Company’s research lab in Dearborn, MI, with work on sodium-sulfur batteries for electric vehicles. “Tesla” at that time referred to the great inventor or the SI unit of magnetic flux density rather than a car company.
